Concludes in Milwaukee
English . . . for a Change! was the theme as over 300 English teachers from across the state participated in over 30 sessions on a range of topics.  Convention Highlights

Award Winners Announced Research and teaching award winners were announced at the 2009 State Convention on October 23.

New Directors Named in Districts 2, 8, 9, 12 Election results were announced at the Annual Business Meeting. Scott Oates of UW-Eau Claire took office as Second Vice President

WCTE Seeks Input on 2011 Convention The centennial NCTE convention will take place in Chicago.  Take this WCTE survey to provide ideas about how best to coordinate Wisconsin's annual convention for English teachers with the national one.

WCTE Sponsors Classroom Research Apply for a grant to promote the teaching of English in  your school. Awards are made annually through WCTE's Robert C. Pooley Foundation. Also, you can nominate someone for a state or national award.  See the awards page for details.
