March 21 , 2006 Meeting These are the minutes from our last general member meeting held on Tuesday, March 21.
Marilyn Kile, the Health Coordinator from the University Health Center, presented a 30 minute stress management session which included learning how to cope with stress and also balance the "good" and "bad" stress in our lives. She provided us with pamphlets, worksheets, and stress balls
 ! We had quite a large turn out and everyone seemed to enjoy her presentation!We discussed the Sophomore Recognition which will be taking place on Wednesday, April 12th from 4-6 p.m. in the UC 213! We still need a director for this event!
We set a date for visiting the Madison Children's Hospital which is going to be Monday, April 24th at 6 p.m. We will be hosting a theme party for the kids and their parents. We are going to set this date with the hospital and then make plans for transportation. Please stay tuned!
Let's Talk College needs a director before we can go any further, but we are hoping to go into some high school classes at the Whitewater High School and answer questions or clear up concerns for the kids that plan on attending college!
The Rocky's Fundraiser will be on Monday, April 17th and costs $5.99 for all you can eat pizza, breadsticks, and salad. That is from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Please come and bring your friends to help support our organization!
The people who attended the meeting decided to attend the Brewer's game on Saturday, April 22nd at 1 p.m. Andy is going to direct this, so please contact him for further information at oberleab26@uww.edu.
We are going to sit on the sweatshirt idea for now until our next general member meeting. If someone has come up with a design and color scheme, we will proceed with them. If not, we are going to ditch the idea.
