       WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION                       Women in Leadership Awards - March 19th, 2008
The annual Women in Leadership Awards ceremony honoring outstanding women on the UW-Whitewater campus will be held on March 19th at 1:00 PM in the Fern Young Terrace.  The awards recognize women who have exemplified leadership qualities.  A reception will follow the awards ceremony.   See full details>>

March 5th - Afghanistan: The Lost Truth - Iranian filmmaker Yassamin Maleknasr takes an unprecedented journey across Afghanistan, becoming the only woman and filmmaker to have traveled such distances since the fall of the Taliban.

March 12th - My Land Zion -
What woman chooses to give birth where kids get blown up riding on school buses? Israeli filmmaker Yulie Gerstel asks this, and other questions, in a personal assessment of her homeland.

he Margarethe Cammermeyer Story - An army medical officer in line for a career promotion during the first Bush Administration, but suddenly faced discharge proceedings after admitting to being a lesbian, the real-life Cammermeyer became a focus of national attention on the issue of gays in the military.
