Wisconsin Humorist to Speak at Convention October 22 in Eau Claire

Michael Perry 

Michael Perry, humorist and author of the bestselling memoirs Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time, Truck: A Love Story, and Coop: A Year of Poultry, Pigs, and Parenting, will speak at the Luncheon at the annual WCTE Convention in Eau Claire on October 22. Perry is also one of the authors whose work is celebrated at the Chippewa Valley Book Festival throughout the week.

  • Chippewa Valley Book Festival 2010 runs for the whole week culminating in the WCTE Convention in Eau Claire. Come meet a favorite author and have your book signed or listen to authors talk about their works. Events are planned for children, teens, and adults. 
     
  • Wisconsin Poetry Festival 2010 Workshops, poetry readings, presentations, opportunities to meet publishers and pick up the latest poetry buzz will be included in this event celebrating Wisconsin Poetry September 24 and 25 in Fort Atkinson, the home of Lorine Niedecker.
